About Our Owner
My name is Brian Cole, and I'm the owner of Greenleaf Services. I have been an outdoorsman for as long as I can remember. It was my love for nature and the outdoors that led me to take Forestry and Horticulture classes in high school. I continued my education in plant sciences at the University of Connecticut and worked summer jobs with a local tree company through my college years.
I graduated with a BS in Environmental Horticulture in 1984. Shortly after college, I became a certified Arborist (licensing the care of trees over 5 meters in height at maturity). To round out my education and licensing, I received an Ornamentals and Turf license (the care of turf, small trees, and shrubs), and from 1985 to 1990, I ran a tree care service with a partner.
Most of my time was spent as a tree climber and plant health care technician. In 1990, I went out on my own and started Greenleaf Services. In 2008, I took classes with the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) to educate myself about organic land care and became a NOFA accredited Land Care professional.
My extensive and continued education has helped me tremendously. Combine this with my years working in the field and, my hands-on approach has given me an understanding of Horticulture and Arboriculture that few others have.
About Our Business
Greenleaf Services has been in the tree and shrub care business since 1990. We've served Wilton, CT, and surrounding areas for over 20 years. We are small enough to provide close personal attention to our customers but are big enough to complete any job, no matter how large, in a timely and efficient manner.
Because of our knowledgeable and experienced crews, our safety record is unparalleled. Never the less we carry ample insurance just in case.
